Watching the paranoia in Trump cult land right now sure is fun. They are not happy at losing Flynn, and are already starting to fret about the possibility of losing Kellyanne and then eventually Bannon and Miller (they oddly seem to like Spicer too now). Reince seems to be their number one target, hence a Breitbart article today suggesting he'll be fired next. But I'm thinking it's Pence who is pulling a lot of the strings on these leaks. The new one about "He didn't know until Feb 9" sets up the kind of narrative needed to get GOP backing to oust Trump: That Trump is leaving Pence in the dark.

Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time that they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.

The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation.

But the intercepts alarmed American intelligence and law enforcement agencies, in part because of the amount of contact that was occurring while Mr. Trump was speaking glowingly about the Russian president, Vladimir V. Putin. At one point last summer, Mr. Trump said at a campaign event that he hoped Russian intelligence services had stolen Hillary Clinton’s emails and would make them public.

The officials said the intercepted communications were not limited to Trump campaign officials, and included other associates of Mr. Trump. On the Russian side, the contacts also included members of the Russian government outside of the intelligence services, the officials said. All of the current and former officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because the continuing investigation is classified.

High-level advisers close to then-presidential nominee Donald Trump were in constant communication during the campaign with Russians known to US intelligence, multiple current and former intelligence, law enforcement and administration officials tell CNN.

Both the frequency of the communications and the proximity to Trump of those involved "raised a red flag" with US intelligence and law enforcement, according to these officials. The communications were intercepted during routine intelligence collection targeting Russian officials and other Russian nationals known to US intelligence.

Adding to US investigators' concerns were intercepted communications between Russian officials before and after the election discussing their belief that they had special access to Trump, two law enforcement officials tell CNN. These officials cautioned the Russians could have been exaggerating their access.

This is truly remarkable though, I mean God Damn. Legit Russian intervention in an American election with the end result being their preferred candidate winning and the GOP just refusing to even investigate it.

We could potentially see the downfall of an administration as a result of evidence of interference and ties to a foreign intelligence service.

And in a dream world if Trump gets ousted, the Russians put out the golden shower video. It's looking more likely that is actually real considering how much of the dossier is turning out to be at least partially true.

I'm starting to wonder about Comeys decision to open the investigation into Hillarys emails, again, 9 days ahead of the election while all of this was going on in the background.
I mean, he was director of the FBI, he should have known.
Wonder if he is tied in to this.
