Not only has the on ice product been dreadful the past couple weeks, but there isn't even good prospect conversation to be had in the forum. Dark times indeed.
Let's hope this week gives people something to talk about, aside from venting and off topic drivel.
What's there to talk about? Every marginally reasonable topic has been talked to death, and most of the unreasonable ones are on rounds 2, 3 and 4.
Back in the days of trades there used to regurarly be something new to talk about. Even when trades didn't actually happen, you could speculate endlessly. You could talk line combinations endlessly, after actual trades or again with hypothetical trades. Now that there are essentially no midseason trades, season feels like watching the grass grow. Same roster plays the same rosters over and over, moving maybe 1-2 spots up and down the standings.
I've always felt the season is just too effing long. Without trades shaking things up now and then, it's honestly just really boring. I can't bring myself to care about whether we're two points in or out before the last stretch starts.
I came to this thread hoping to learn something new about Jankowski. Instead I learned that GreenLantern's user name has nothing to do with the comic books.

0 points in 3 games. Was really boring hockey though. Made the NHL All Star game look like the cup final.
Yeah, I caught a couple games and it reminded me of sub beer league hockey without contact. Just horrible. Was going to post that the game was on sportsnet, but after watching a few minutes I didn't think it was worth it.
Janko is becoming a beast down there, true chance at league lead in goals.. We just may have a player in this guy after all. What a path he's carving towards the NHL.
