Brouwer does not come as advertised. This guy has no fire at all, he is not defending teammates, and he can't score. Given his rep for post season play maybe we can get out of that contract at the trade deadline. At this point if you can move him for a good return I am not opposed to moving Gio either. Playoffs or not this team is not winning anything this year.

Luckily this draft is gonna be a crab shoot after the first 2 picks. Flames will have to have great scouting to nab a cornerstone player at what will look to be picks 10-16.

It's a long season, as always, plenty of momentum swings one way or another. Right now, there's no doubt they're in a valley, but three weeks from now they'll likely look like world beaters.
The team as a whole isn't consistent enough, but the same can be said for most teams in the game today. Go visit forums of other teams to gain some perspective. Calgary isn't as bad as the chicken littles would make it seem.
Still tough to watch, no question.

At least with Hartley it seemed like there was some sort of plan and some fire when things went south. Gulutzan is just a mcchicken sandwich. Looks like a coach, seems a bit like a coach, but ultimately is just a fake, limp and extremely disappointing road to eventual slow and painful death . Bob was McD's fries. You know they're bad for you but at least you know you're going to get some consistent short term enjoyment even though they will kill you in the end.

Canucks are 1 point behind us with 2 games in hand.
Their next 2 games are against the 2 worst teams in the league, Colorado and Arizona.
I get where you're coming from with not wanting to be dramatic, but we're 99.9% not in a playoff spot if not for the fact we've played so many games. We are a lot closer to out of the playoffs than into them.
