I'm going to say this is the nicest way possible but screw that completely. You're wrong. When this team was putting in a decent effort and playing the system they were winning games.
The coach's peptalk certainly has not been
"Ok Ferlie I want you to skate around at half speed in the defensive zone. And whatever you do, don't tie up anyones stick.
Ok defensemen, I want you to skate backwards, that's it, make sure you get in the goalies way, but don't do anything but skate backwards.
And fellas, lets not throw any hits out there or drive the net, these jersey's are expensive and they cost a lot to wash so whatever you do don't do anything that makes you sweat"
Frankly blaming the coaches for everything is entirely stupid. At some point the players have to take a hard look in the mirror and look at the fact that over the last week or so with a exception or two, they're playing lazy hockey.
