Textbook "swarm", there. Unreal on the PK that they all are on the boards, let alone all on the same side of the ice.

The record is twelve goals and it happened in two games, both in the second period.
From http://www.rauzulusstreet.com/hockey.../records8.html
"Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs, at Buffalo, Mar. 19, 1981,
Buffalo scored 9 goals, Toronto 3. Buffalo won 14-4
Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks, at Chicago, Dec. 11, 1985,
Edmonton scored 6 goals, Chicago 6, Edmonton won 12-9"
The link also shows that there are eight games when ten goals were scored in a period.

To be fair, the Coyotes were awful when he inherited them.

I would kill for an 8-7 win about now.
Losing 2-1, 2-0, 2-1 is sucking the joy.

I would rather lose 2-1 than 8-7 any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Yup, the Flames' offence has really dried up lately. They're generating plenty of chances, but outside of the Backlund line there's just no finish. What we need is one of those 8-3 Anaheim style blowout wins to get some of the their confidence back and regain their scoring touch.

They're setting up good plays/chances, but the shots generated on said plays have been VERY weak/easy/off target/too slow. The guys have to start shooting the puck with authority and purpose again. Some one-timers would be welcomed too. Tic-tac-toe, with emphasis on the toe. That's how the PP was generating at 30%. They're making life easy on the opposing goaltenders and it's plain as day to see.
Also, just hesitance too. When you're scoring ~1 goal a game, a shoot-first mentality must be implemented.
Hope to the heavens GG and the coaching staff are preaching this to the guys going into the game tomorrow.

Well, that could have been called but it didn't lead to the winning goal. The Caps still had the puck and got it into the Pens' zone before it came back up the ice.
