11.6L/100 KM on a X5. Not great, but way better than my old F150 was (hovered around 14).

I'm guessing he's confused and he's doing KM/Liter. 8.8KM/L = 11.4 L/100km, which is still pretty good for a f150.

Well what exactly is there to be done? He says he gets 8.8l/100km kind of mileage. I think it sounds wrong, but I don't plan on actually doing anything about it.

I'll have you know, I've already snorted derisively. TWICE!

There's no chance an F150 gets 11.4L/100KM unless it's completely level highwat driving. I knew a group of about 6 of us at work that all had F150s and none of us got remotely close to that. My 13.9L/100km was all Crowchild driving. So while not highway driving, it was pretty close. Basically 90 km/h with one stop at 23 avenue NW and another on Memorial.

Which would generally be better mileage than highway driving.

I am getting about 14l /100km in the 2004 ford explorer I recently purchased. I live in calgary but work in airdrie. I seem to spend a lot of time at 80kph due to the recent weather conditions.

Nope. What I did was miss two months of gas fill ups that I didn't do my paperwork. But it is 11.2 so roughly the same. But I don't know why my truck calculates it as 7.7. That isn't close.

Sorry for the confusion

And I do many trips downtown but it would be about 70/30 highway to city.

Now I'm not too impressed with my truck... thanks internet
