There is just no excitement around the allstar game this year. At least last year John Scott and Johnny hockey made a bit of a story line.

You can't really argue with Price, McDavid, and Crosby. All three of those players are clearly the best players in their division.
Subban is the one that is a little eye raising - he hasn't had a very good start in Nashville. Should be Tarasenko probably.

People asking "Why Subban"... because he's a character. He'll be front and center at all the events and he's entertaining as all get out. Tarasenko and Panarin aren't, and Kane is less so (as well as being somewhat controversial given his history). Plus, basically no one dislikes the Predators, and Chicago doesn't really to have its fanbase pandered to at this point.
