needs more bashing though, not cherry picking.
The Tenderness is on pace for 36 points, by far the worst in his career in terms of PPG. Poolparty has a single goal in 20 games.

Poor guy needs a change of scenery. He looked great at the World Cup, probably the best forward and actually looked like a former first overall pick.
Bet he's totally jealous of Hall.

Meh not really going to argue Gaudreau and Mackinnon because they were both great as well but I thought Mathews wasn't that good and was lost defensively alongside McDavid. Thought Hopkins was much better than Mathews. Mathews picked up a lot of garbage points on the pp and was used in every favourable face off while Hopkins got all the hard match ups and less pp time.

Rankings aside, RNH definitely looked great at the World Cup and is a much better player than he's been able to show up in Shelbyville lately.

No.
Nugent Hopkins was good, but MacKinnon and Gaudreau were amazing.

Yeah, it's really six of one half a dozen of the other; RNH wasn't nearly as flashy as Johnny or Mackinnon obviously, but was just about as good. Just consistently excellent throughout. That being said, he's looked good in Edmonton this year either on the occasions I've watched him; not sure why the counting stats aren't there. If they trade him, someone's getting a very good player.

Nugent-Hopkins has been an awful disappointment in Edmonton. The guy is a freaking #1 overall pick, but is on pace for 36 points. His career high is 24 goals and 56 points. He is in his sixth season, so it is unlikely to see a big jump in his production.
I wonder how he would have been developed by another team. I expect he could have been a elite player. Instead, he is a 2nd/3rd line player who is so soft, he carries the name The Tenderness.
Edmonton is No Good.

He'd be a good 15th overall pick. But he's not a good 1st overall.
Draft position aside, he's a good player to have on a winning team. He helps more than hurts, even though he's not elite.
Question: who would people prefer, Backlund or RNH?
