I will be watching this thread with enthusiasm. My gaming monitor is so old I'm not sure how old it really is. I need a new one.

I've played fighting games on this one and had no issues at all. I've been looking at buying it for myself in the near future as it doesn't break the bank either.

Hahaha - my gaming PC is an i5 3570k, 16gb, gtx 970, with a benq2460 monitor. So Mazrim's suggestion would make your set up the same as mine. Works well!

I invested in the Acer XB 270HU last year and I love it. It is by far the best gift I have bought myself in the last few years. If you have never played on a really good monitor go down to Mem Ex and give them a try.

I recommend going a bit lower in cost and buy 2 or 3. I'm really enjoying my triple setup, just too bad the monitors themselves are fairly average. Once you go triple you never go back!

What games are you playing that properly utilize 3 monitors?

I am going to use my current monitor as a secondary monitor. I'd rather a have a better primary monitor since I only play one monitor games.

The current PC master race is focused on 2560x1440 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. I am not positive if your card can manage that or not, but if it can, it wont be max settings. I would hold off on a 4k Monitor, a 1080 can struggle with one.
Those specs are the best you can get right now (unless you go 4k).

Hmm.. Dell has the S2716DG for $630. It seems to be the cheapest monitor that is 1440p, 144Hz, 1ms and G-sync. The knock against it is that it's a TN panel not IPS.

			Debating between the Dell and the Acer XB241H . It's $530 1080p, 144Hz, 1ms and G-Sync.

Similarly spec'd monitors with a $100 difference for 1080p vs 1440p.
