Their power play is fantastic, leading the league at 32%. Wennberg is looking like a great player, same with 19 year old Werenski on the back end.
They generate the fewest shots per game and allow the 8th most. I wonder how long that can keep up.

Interesting. Watching the game earlier today, anecdotally, it seemed like the Caps didn't have a lot of quality chances so I wonder if the shots are being limited to the perimeter?

They actually won pretty much every possession category against the Caps. But most games, they have been out-chanced, outshot and out-Corsi'd. They are riding some crazy shot % and Bobrovsky %. Shot % would likely be related to their PP as well. It's a similar story as with Montreal this season. Will be very interesting to see what happens.

Lindholm scored for Carolina in the first period. That goal held until the third period and the Hurricanes beat the Jets 3-1.
Kreider scores, 1-0 Rangers after twenty minutes. Reimer is in net for the Panthers.

Too good not to share. Barkov's shootout winner against the NYR.

Barkov has the highest shootout percentage in the NHL over the last 2 seasons at 75%.

I wish Flames players were that "fluky" in the shootout.

The puck off the skate thing wasn't even really part of the move. It was just show boating. To me its the equivalent of Omark's centerice spinorama.

The other part of the move was the Forsberg which Henrik saw through. Unfortunately the puck rolled over Lundqvist's stick and went into the net.

Barkov didn't even complete the move he was trying to make and it still went into the net. To me that's fluky.

Praising this shootout goal is like giving a player credit for an amazing shot, that hit a shin pad out front and deflected top corner.

You are completely wrong. Google "barkov top 5 shootout goals" and watch the video. He's done the same move in 4 of those 'top 5' goals. It's a move he's known for.
