Ferland is playing like a top 6 powerforward these last 2-3 games.

Totally agree but playing him for 8min a game wouldn't cause us to sink unless he's constantly in the minuses. If he's going to be in the press box and sit there, we might as well waive him now.

You mean his ability to shoot the puck directly into shin pads, which then leads to an odd man shorthanded chance the other way?

Yup, I bet teams will be lined up around the block to trade for him.

it's not mind boggling, not even mind bottling. Just infuriating.

Yeah that's a good point... he's actually a liability on the PP because of it now. Others like Gio, Brodie or Kulak might recover in time, but if Dennis blasts it off a shinpad, he's not quick enough to prevent a shorthanded breakaway or odd-man rush.

People can point to hit stats last season but it never impressed me, a cute bump n' shove can be classified as a hit. This year he's actually finishing a lot of those checks, driving guys hard. It's much better to watch.

Annnd dammit.

Yeah I guess the last little bit hasn't been pretty.

I just don't see the point of sitting him all season when, I would think, we could move him at the deadline for something, otherwise why wouldn't they throw him on waivers and assign him to Stockton? Unless I'm missing something.
