Not sure if this has been mentioned before but his injuries weren't really due to slashing,but advanced spearing? Stall should have def been suspended, had it been 2019. Slashing is when you get the body of the stick cross body. This was spearing and it's complete bs!!!!!

Spearing the hands is what I'm contesting. Slash, fine I love chippy hockey honestly. Always the tip ends with Minnesota. How do you think an axe works?

Gaudreau will examine additional protective gloves while in re-Hab. Some lightweight can fit inside Hockey gloves. Also Wizard gloves. #mesh

What do you mean "IF players missing extended time due to slashes"? It's already happened!
Back in the good old days without the instigator, when star players like Bobby Orr and Mike Bossy weren't targeted and went on to play long, fruitful careers.
The heady days when you couldn't lay a finger (or a crosscheck) on Mario Lemieux's back because of the fear instilled in you by the goons on the opposite bench.
Extremely crappy news for little Johnny. Until the league stops allowing players to take liberties with the games best young stars you will continue seeing needless injuries of this sort.
