Satisfied I am. Thought it was a pretty solid third period, just a little scrambly toward the end which is not surprising as the team still has little confidence. Something on which to build.
Cameron the mortician. Love that. Paul Bearer anyone?

Nice to see a more consistent effort - probably the most consistent effort next to the St. Louis game.
If the league isn't going to do anything about the slashes, Flames should just release the kraken and have a line brawl on the next faceoff. Do that every time, and the officials will have to start calling those slashes or they lose control of the games. Right? Right? Ok, that probably won't work, but when I see how hard some of those are and how deliberate they are, it actually makes me want to carry 2 heavyweight enforcers and let them run wild and free. At least in a game where they are already down, screw playing disciplined, and start sending messages. This game you have to unfortunately grin and bear it, but when they are down, man do I wish they start playing not with chips on their shoulder, but big huge chunks.

For all the times Johnny seems to feel it on the hands/fingers in addition to the wrists, I wonder if a layer of plastic shielding across the top of the glove in lieu of fabric is possible as well.

My pro stock warrior franchises have plastic overtop of all of the foam bits

The coach got lucky tonight in that he was terribly outmatched on few plays. One was out of his control, but loosening the noose around his neck shouldn't happen at this point.
At least he had Johnny out on the 4-3 and 5-3...
As usual, a stellar article.

Come one!
Come all!
Everybody slash Johnny!
And get #### all!
Just finished watching, happy for Johnson, but wtf is going on? Is slashing the wrist a penalty or not?

After lasthe night, 8 of the top 9 teams in the NHL are from the Eastern Conference.
The west might be less competitive this year. I think the 96 point playoff projection is ridiculous.

As far as I'm seeing from the refs this season, it's always a penalty if you hook their wrists, but it's not a penalty to slash their wrists. Makes a ton of sense...
GG should be just as frustrated on the bench as Gaudreau was leaving the bench. Completely unacceptable from the coach. If you want to be a players coach then friggin act like one and stand up for your players.
Otherwise, a really solid game from most of the team. I thought Brodie had one of his best games and definitely his best game playing away from Gio. When he keeps his feet moving he's able to breakup or join so many plays.
Please GG don't you dare go back to Elliott. Johnson has earned another start and if you played Elliott in back-to-back games to try and get him going then you better play Johnson tonight. Elliott is looking like he may not regain his confidence this season. He's lost on the ice, always scrambling and constantly falling down. That's not going to instill much confidence to the rest of your team. If the goalie is scrambling to make a save, the players are going to be scrambling trying to keep that shot from getting on net instead of making the right play and trusting the goalie to make a low danger save.

lol, the coach.
What's Gulutzan supposed to do? Throw on a pair of skates and hop the boards?
There are 17 other guys on the bench that are watching when Gaudreau gets slashed.
Where is the captain?

Does he not have a voice? The coaches job is to tell players what to do and ensure he's getting the most out of his players. Is GG getting the most out of his top players? Yeah good joke.
Do you think the players got together that one game in Vancouver and decided on their own to open the game with a line brawl? No I think Hartley had everything to do with it. And we saw a different team after that one game.
