PP goal on a nice individual effort by Johnny.
Otherwise, terrible. The drop pass is awful enough, but having 4 guys high and taking shots from the perimeter is the icing on the cake.
Hard to contemplate why the coaching staff thinks that will work.

Hathaway-Hamilton-Ferland is a really fun line to watch. They played with an edge and the whole team seemed to follow suit.
I also thought Engelland made some really good plays with the puck.

Someone please compile all the gifs of the missed slashes on Johnny. It's getting ridiculous. They HAVE to call some of those. Otherwise players will just take liberties on him every game and who knows, might screw up his wrists to where he can't play at 100% again.
Pissed off at the incompetent officiating. Protect these damn players..it's your job.

If McDavid took half the slashes that Johnny does there would be a national media meltdown - this #### needs to stop now

You need to go back to logic class if you think this is a sound argument.

Johnny needs more armour on his wrists and hands. We can make goalie pads that weigh as much as a bowl of yogurt while repelling a 108mph slapper with no apparent difficulty, is there nothing out there to reinforce the most the most valuable and vulnerable thing skill players possess?

Honestly if they just called one of those a game, it would be enough to deter opponents from doing it.

That logic checks out for me.
Maybe you need to go to jelly school because you didn't think of that joke?

There are longer gloves but players don't use them. They use really short gloves.

Happy for the Flames tonight. It is a start towards getting some more confidence and maybe win some more games. Honestly, though, those slashes are getting out of hand. Maybe we should sick Jane Gaudreau on Bettman.

Not good that the league is letting that stuff go. Also, not good that Johnny's team mates did not do anything about it.
Slash Johnny, get a punch in the face. It will stop soon enough.

Hathaway-Freddie-Ferland was our best even strength line. They were buzzin all game it seemed. The defense played very well, kudos to all of em, top to bottom they all played solid.

Great game by Johnson, but tough to be excited about any game that Johnny leaves with an injury.
