Going into the third with a lead, despite Brodie's best efforts.

The Wild play like a bunch of babies.
Start raging and hacking and slashing when they aren't allowed to skate untouched to the front of the net.

I don't think they've necessarily deserved a lead but they've had great sticks all night, keeping Johnson away from the scary cross-ice stuff.

Having the lead into the 3rd and my attention past the 2nd period. How exciting!

in my opinion the best way to protect Gaudreau from slashes is to start mucking it up every shift if it starts happening.
You need the refs to have a rough game for them to start policing things more. If you make it hard on them to do their jobs by starting scrums after every whistle, hitting guys late, taking late shots, crosschecks on the ice, facewashes etc etc and are willing to take the inevitable penalties that will come, the refs will take notice and will start making calls to avoid having to deal with all the rest of the bull####.

Man, it's amazing how many turn a blind eye to Brodie's careless errors and make all sorts of excuses yet Hamilton can do no right.
Different playing field.

You don't always have to use the shotgun but it keeps guys out there honest if they know you have it. The Flames currently don't have that guy.

I say if a guy was on the business end of a McGrattan haymaker after he slashed Johnny, his teammates would take notice and then the slashing would stop.
Plus, we'd see some passion in the games like in the old days.

Does this include Gulutzan?
Hamilton seems like his leash is half as long as Brodies.

We meed to collect all the times Johnny gets slashed and make it into a video maybe then the NHL will take notice. At very lest it will demonstrate all the non calls Johnny gets.
