The Jackaroos come to Calgary
I'm not sure if anyone here would be interested but the WHCL is hosting a team of Australian beer league players here in town and they're playing against some of the teams from the league. All the players from the Jackaroos are born and raised Australians and this is quite the adventure for them.
They play tomorrow night at 9pm at the Markin Macphail center at Winsport tomorrow night, so come cheer them on!!!

Are you guys going to search their rooms? No chance in hell any Aussie player isn't going to bring beer into the locker rooms! We have had a number of Aussies come to our hockey tourneys. Those guys can are never not drinking!

Love the name Jackaroos for an Aussie hockey team.
I remember there was an all Aussie team that used to play in the UofC rec league. It was my team's only win of the season haha.

I never say bad things about people that aren't warranted .... I have heard nothing but good things from WHCL... except the normal. All refs suck, can't drink beer in dressing rooms, that CMPunk guy is to handsome to be running things or timekeeping.
I'm out of town to deliver The Westy (and $8,000 in free gear) to the greatest beer league team in the world until Sunday. I'll try to catch the Monday game!

Theyre have a couple of good players, but mostly these guys are beginners.
I don'the wanna give verda13 any hope for tonight, but last night's game wasn't pretty and they were playing a team in the same division as his team. They're just happy to be playing hockey in Canada and every goal is a moral victory and a story to their buddies at home on how they scored on a Canadian goalie.
