I really like Treliving. However if this coaching hire gets him canned I wouldn't be surprised. He skipped over proven coaches to bring in a unknown, and he sucks. Hartley would have a better record I guarantee it. I'm not saying Hartley was the guy for the team, but don't fire him an bring in another bum.

Gaudreau, Monahan, Brodie, Giordano are all struggling horrifically under Gulutzan so far. Usually when you switch coaches, you end up with some surprise players flourishing under the new coach that struggled mightily under the last coach - and some players that struggle under the new coach after playing great for the last coach.
...right now, the trade-off of Stajan playing better under Gulutzan does not outweigh the horrific struggles of almost all the other players on the team.
I hope this coaching transition period ends soon...because this is awful hockey and it's a real bummer as a fan.

We don't know if he skipped over other coaches or didn't have opportunities and had to act as if Gul was their choice all along. No GM is ever going to come out and say " we tried for a couple other guys and had to settle"
