On second look, Tkachuk did a bit more than skate to the net. But I think he was just trying to set a screen.

Bennett and Tkachuk. Shift disturbers. Love it.

Too bad Ferland hasn't developed his mean streak as much since the playoff run.

He is skating to the net and barely touches the guy who yard-sales

its a good non-call...if that is a penalty the game would be 5 hours long. Can't blow the whistle every time a guy gets bumped and falls down

Considering the game was played in their own zone with them chasing they are in good shape... and lucky, if they slow it down and stop tossing it up the boards to the nearest Cap player they will be in even better shape going forward.

Hoping for more hard hitting, and them pushing the pace in the second. Preferably not chasing after the puck... please!

How good are the other options for watching hockey in all honesty? It's weird, all I hear about is how great it was to cut cable, yet it seems I hear just as much "**** this it's not working again!!" "****it's so far behind again" from everyone that's made the switch.

When I'm watching the Flames I expect 100% watchability (standard sportsnet issues aside) I couldn't handle going to watch the game and having it just not work. Especially with any kind of regularity.

Just browsing imgur during intermission. Came across this interesting picture. Yeah, it's off topic, so sue me.

They are not as good no matter what anyone tells you

Basic cable/sat package plus the sports really isn't that expensive and you get every single Flames game these days

Organist is already in mid-season form: Timewarp, Addams Family, Super Mario Bros. Keep it up. Flames, come out strong and tie it up.

That Flames promo they just showed on sportsnet didn't even have the Bow under construction yet. That's like 2011 or prior. Good lord sportset, I understand slightly outdated city shots, but that's just unacceptable.

Those options are a last resort for me. I spend lots of time outside the Flames region so end up having to use them, and they're usually sufficient, but there's still no option better than TV and cable
