The defense doesn't look too good either.

CP will be a disaster if the boys don't put up a W tonight!

Agreed. As long as it is confined into one thread and not redundant, I see no issues. Both have good details to them.

Carolina's special teams look out of this world thus far (I know sample size) so the boys better get there pp and pk together and stay out of thw box otherwise this could be a long night.

I think the Flames PK has been just fine. It is the PP that is a disaster.

Really looking forward to seeing Frk. Watched him play with McKinnon and Druin in Halifax and he was quite good. I never understood why he couldn't make the jump with Det. Perhaps this season will answer that.

On an aside..

... I can't wait for the day that this era ends with CP. In over a decade of being on CP, I have only witnessed a small few that are equally infomous and have demanded such attention and respect, yet haven't earned it..

Ya, something has to give with that power play. I think we have 1 pp goal this year? Just off the top of my head. That is abysmal. I think we are even or a minus on the year on the PP cause of shorties against.

Ah, but was he quite good because of who he was playing with? I mean, clearly he is quite good if he has made it this far, but did his line mates boost him up and make him look better?

I'm betting Stempniak scores today, albeit in a losing effort.

wow, scary to see how cheap tickets are for this game. 1st bowl tickets are available in the 70-100 buck range!!!

It is good for folks looking for seats sure, but man, is that not a strong indicator of how weak things really are at the moment in Calgary......

with regards to the game, they have a decent d group, and some up and coming forwards, but also one of the best young coaches in the game (or so they are saying). I wouldn't take this team lightly, they are not a bottom feeder team.

That being said, it is a game the flames should win, especially at home. Go Flames!

Want to win fans, win games or charge less.

There's still a waiting list for season tickets, they're doing fine. Maybe some empty seats will tighten the leash on management.

Kristen Odland @Kristen_Odland
Former #Flames D Jakub Nakladal holding court and saying hi to Engelland, Monahan, Lance Bouma and Micheal Ferland this AM.

Man, Nakladal is talking to everyone. Hamilton now. He only played 27 games with the team.

Tickets to Buffalo and Vancouver tonight in Van are also around $70 in the lower bowl. Essentially, nobody wants to see the Flames play the Hurricanes, or the Sabres take on the Canucks.

This is how it should be IMO. Yada yada yada economics, yes I know.

Giant soccer clubs in Europe keep their ticket pricing reasonable, and make their money from sponsorships, TV and merch.
