Okay, It's grinding my gears that the D men stand around so much waiting for something to develop. Gio/Brodie are best when they're moving....fast.
Its wearing on me the amount of standing and no skating.

What kind of breakout plays are these? I am unfamiliar with the one where the defence slates around by themselves, then two forwards skate back for support, then the d-man stretch passes to the one forward at the blue line covered by two defenders. Interesting approach.

I haven't seen enough from Kevin yet to suggest he's worth protecting over Hamilton. If he did become protection-worthy, what about exposing Gio, and take a chance that LV wouldn't take him at that contact (given his age) or negotiate a "don't choose player X" trade with LV with some of our expansion-ineligible prospects?
