Maybe if Tkachuk goes down after his 9 games. I can't see them starting with Tkachuk on the first line.

Injury prone, Oiler cast-off that is well past his best days. Yes, it's sad that it's an upgrade. But it is an upgrade on Vey, Bollig, and probably Stajan.

Maybe Tkachuck is going to start on the 3rd line?

If he was still a top 6 player he wouldn't be signing a PTO.

So the career right shooting right wing is going to move to the left side while the left shooting left wing rookie is going to suddenly shift to the right, after playing all camp with Bennett and Brouwer?

That makes no damn sense. Tell Kerr to zip his lid.

No way Kerr has any intel on that so quickly. Two right shot RW on the same line doesn't seem logical to me. Not sure where he gets that impression.

I don't think it's sad to have to fill your NHL roster these days with "less than ideal options". That's just how it works now with the ammount of money being tied up in core players.

Also, doesn't sound like he's an Oilers cast off at all.

With how they looked in preseason I don't see why you break up Tkachuk-Bennett-Brouwer.

because all lines are fluid and listed lines don't really matter.

I hope he turns into the Glencross and just constantly tears the Oilers apart.

Kerr at his spit-balling best. No logic or insight shown. Just making stuff up.

No kidding.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Versteeg
Tkachuk - Bennet - Brower

Looks like a solid top 6 to start the season.

Except that he's not an Oilers cast-off.

Low risk signing for a depth player. My favourite part is he shafted Edmonton to come here instead. Smart move Kris.

Not a superstar by any means but he could be a good fit on the top line. He's fairly good with the puck and quick, could compliment Johnny. It's worth a shot.

The guy has won a couple cups and can rap pretty good so he's got that going for him.

Also known as wizardry.

Versteeg >>>>> Bollig
Versteeg >>> Vey, Chiasson
