During their preseason win over the New Jersey Devils Saturday night, the Panthers lost Jonathan Huberdeau with a lower body injury that GM Tom Rowe described to the Sun-Sentinel’s Harvey Fialkov as “long term.”

Also injured in Florida is Bjugstad with a broken hand

And now, with the 2016-17 season less than one week away, Bjugstad has again found himself on the sidelines, this time with a broken hand that will force him to sit out the next four weeks.

Allen looked to be injured after making a save with 2:18 left in the first period. Chicago Blackhawks forward Richard Panik tripped Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson, who fell onto Allen.

Schwartz out at least 4 weeks

St. Louis Blues forward Jaden Schwartz will miss the start of the regular season with a left elbow injury.

The team announced Friday that Schwartz suffered the injury during a training camp practice on Sept. 29. He’s expected to be out at least four weeks.

Gaborik out with broken foot

Down both Huberdeau and Bjugstad to start the year. Maybe won't see Huberdeau until the team's playoff position is already decided.

It's interesting how so many injury-prone players have already become injured this year.

Players like Gaborik, MacArthur, and Schwartz definitely have questions marks in terms of their durability.
