Whew! They sure didn't make that easy with all the runners allowed on base but man did they ever lock it down repeatedly with two outs.

Happ was painting corners like a boss when he needed to.

@ShiDavidi
#BlueJays say Francisco Liriano cleared to fly home with team after being examined in hospital.

And another missed game because of these stupid early starts.

At least they won. Bue Jays starters are picking up where they left off in the regular season.

As soon as Tulo made his mound visit, you knew the ballgame was over. The Jays have never had a player of Tulo's calibre at shortstop as long as I've been a fan. It has a tremendous impact on team success.

Tulo has future manager written all over him.

Reading this thread made me chuckle a little. I put the office TV on the game today, but it was muted and I had lots going on. Only checking in here and there, everything seemed peachy. Going through the thread tonight, I guess it was a little more stressful than that.

And just to add to a few of the posts above, Martin and Tulo have been great. I consider them "true pros." Show up to play every day, bring a solid attitude, and make their teammates better. Really like them both. I will admit that I was a little unsure of the Martin signing, but he is a great game caller, makes his pitchers better. And brings a little offense too.

Finally caught up on watching the game. Great win by the jays. Tulo is just the best. Just such a confident and calm player. Nice to see Osuna pitch and look pretty decent all things considered. Hope Liriano will be okay. Let's finish it off on Sunday!

Just finished the game too! Osuna was awesome!

Jays definitely got a lot of calls in their favour both for pitching and hitting.

And was it just me or did the TBS pitch tracker seem completely off?

I thought, unlike last year, we could at least avoid this in the ALCS if we finish this off, given we'd probably be playing a huge TV ratings team like the Red Sox. But with them down 0-2 to Cleveland and the Cubbies likely going to the NLCS, I'm getting worried they're gonna do matinee games for the ALCS too. Just the worst, I'll never understand it..well I do, but I think the reason is dumb in 2016. Notice how no other of the major NA team sports have this issue..

Fun series so far, I can't believe they're up 2-0 coming back home. God I hate Odor so much, possibly the most punchable looking face in baseball

i don't think it'll be too bad in the LCS.

no other sports play everyday so scheduling in baseball is tough.

Fun fact, tomorrow will be the only weekend game played in Toronto no matter how far the Jays go. Home ALCS games will be mid week, as would WS games with the AL as having the home field advantage.

Monday, if required, will be an early start, unless Cleveland sweep Boston. Then Game 4 would be a 4pm Calgary start.

And yeah, Toronto Cleveland would be a ratings killer for MLB for the LCS, so expect all early games. One market that doesn't get measured for any sort of advertising revenue for networks and it's advertisers, and Cleveland, who have to be near the bottom of market size out of MLB teams. Washington would have to be the least desirable on the NL side.

But they have Lebron!

Anyways, too early to talk about that matchup. Rangers and Red Sox can easily tie this up and go the distance.

On paper, Game 3 looks like a pitching miss match for the Jays but "Aces" are so unpredictable in the post season and how many times this year have we seen a can come in a shutdown the Jays offense?

Mild concussion for Liriano. No timetable for return.

Doesn't Sound good on Travis either. Bone bruise on his knee. Had a cortisone injection and no timetable for return either.

I'm more worried about losing Liriano as he had stepped into the bullpen and basically made it legitimate for playoffs. Now I'm really worried about late innings again.

Easy with the doom and gloom. A mild concussion could mean a few days. As for Travis being hurt, they said the MRI came back clean.

Doesn't he have to be out a minimum of 7 days? The fact they are saying it is mild is encouraging, but I wouldn't expect him back for probably 2 weeks.
