Treliving is gonna put it all on the table... "This is the best I can do... I need an answer today please because I have a team to run" If Johnny doesn't like the offer he will be told that he can sign or sit until a satisfactory trade is found... And that's not gonna happen soon....
Johnny is close to a new contract
- That's good!
The contract is cursed
- Thats bad.
But the deal comes with a free frogurt!
- Thats good!
The frogurt is also cursed.

This is silly. A complex contract negotiation doesn't end with an ultimatum with a couple hour deadline because "I have a team to run"

I think you nailed it here. If Trevling is there with one of the owners - they cannot be close at all and they are there to lay out Johnny's options on the table. I'm afraid they will be returning back to Calgary by themselves. I hope that I am wrong

Ya, well I'm guessing Treliving didn't fly across the continent just to make sure he heard the last offer correctly on the phone.
To me, this is just Francis positioning himself. If negotiations go into the weekend, he's right. If it gets done in the next day or two, he can claim that the gaps were bridged quicker than anticipated.

For just one thread, can we not bump it with wild theories about how Johnny is actually the intersect with a second job at Buy More as an undercover agent for the CIA, or that's he's getting traded, or what Treliving had for lunch, until there is actual news?

This is the new standard around here. My nonsense is as valid as someone else's not nonsense.
