Hmmm wanted a longer look at Andersson and Mangiapane, but no real surprises there.

Surprised Jankowski isn't playing tonight, if he is still up with the big club

Probably waiting until both Backlund and Monahan are back. Even though I know Backlund is in tonight. Maybe give him a game to test the head out.

40 players seems like a lot to me at this point. Maybe Brads too busy with the negotiation!

Yeah, that does make sense. I would have liked him being dressed and get another game. He does get to practice with the team though, till he gets sent down. Each additional day is further learning

And so ends the Luke Adam saga in Calgary.
I still remember how excited I was about the rumours surrounding him in the Regehr trade. Weird how things play out.

Magiapane didn't even get a good look. He's hands-down one of the better Flames prospects, so why not give him some action?

He's not close to being NHL ready. He's got good long term prospects but the chance of him making the team this fall was nearly zero.

The Flames have a bunch of forwards that could play on the NHL roster this year. Mangiapane won't, so he didn't get as long a look.

The biggest surprise there was that Hunter Smith was still in camp.

Good to see Rasmus going to the AHL. Flames can keep a better eye on him down there

Is there consensus yet as to what prospect Treliving et al are unfairly burying due to their shortsightedness?

Probably because he's definitely not NHL ready, might as well get him to Stocktons camp ASAP and get ready for the A. Totally agree though, definitely one of the better prospects we have in our pool.
