With a photographic memory, I don't need a word document. That search took me less than 3 seconds to find, as I just searched protective by CPF. I'd read it once, so it was easy to produce.

			Wow Squiggs.
Not the first time you've impressed with your detective skills, but perhaps some discretion on who you're directing that to?

It's not like CPF or any of us are fault free but way to take everything from the past and brush it up as the only context required to portray his feelings.

I think he deserves being able to describe how he actually feels given his contributions on this forum, hence the whole purpose of this thread.

I think we're all taking this WAY too seriously right now, do we really want to alienate some very positive contributors to this forum (including you)?

I see hockey cannot start soon enough. Holy moly, if it wasn't for HalifaxDrunk or CaliPanthersFans efforts and attention to detail trying to provide the best and most consistent content on a regular basis during the season, there'd be insane amounts of GDT's started and everyone would be crabbing about too many threads being started.
Since I've been here, it's been HD or CPF doing these threads regularly. No one crabbed about it before, but now? Well I guess Gaudreau not signing really has got everyones panties in a bunch because this isn't how we should be treating positive contributors to the community. Who cares if CPF felt some sort of "ownership" to these threads, no one else ponied up the time and effort to supplant him so he could have the choice of doing better things with his day or stepping up and say "hey, get off my lawn".

Same with Halifax drunk back in the days before him. In fact, when the proverbial "torch" was passed to CPF, he volunteered and everyone thought it was awesome.

End of the day, it should be appreciated that someone, whoever it may be puts time and effort into creating content that is so specific and detailed. Not .... whatever this is.

The usual internet bullies ganging up on posters who volunteer their time to create content for CP?

I've been reluctant to post in this thread, since being a fellow content creator gives me an unfair bias in the matter.
Reggie asked a while back: what made you a member here? If you go read the thread front to back, it was everyone's unanimous conclusion that this was the place to be as a Flames fan. So ask yourself, what distinguishes it from the many other Flames-related blogs or sites that encourage similar discussion? What makes CP so special?

To me, it's great community and great content.

I'm more of a lurker so I don't participate as much, but I really like reading the opinions and viewpoints on CP. And besides the discussion, I hit F5 like 100 times a day year round because of stuff like sureLoss news, CPF game days, AC highlights, Bingo's Game Takes. Just naming the ones off the top of my head.

So because of that, when drama stirs-up around someone who creates content - it's definitely a downer moment to me because it simultaneously kills both things that make CP such a good site.

I leave motivations for content creation as an entirely personal matter. All I care about is that they're putting out good subject matter and contributing to the community. It's what makes the 'Thanks' feature so ingenious - it allows people to show genuine appreciation without ever needing to take the effort to make a post about it.

Speaking of which, I suppose this is also my chance to publicly thank everyone for appreciating Around the League. Believe me, I regard each name fondly even if the list is long.
