Oh no I didn't misread that.
I would take McDavid over Johnny in a heartbeat.

It's sad to see the Matthews circle jerk might be almost as bad as the McJesus one.

I don't mind it. The more we hear about Matthews, the less we have to hear about McDavid.

Just kidding. He was great. Catalyst on offence for sure. Damn near had the tying goal down low.

Quiet for first half. Then Scheifele sprung him on a breakaway and he was his usual self for the rest of the game.
Had one really good backcheck, but he was mostly saddled with carrying around McCheerios after he was taken off the tenderness's line.

The fact that they were playing with Johnny at the end made it worse lol.

It's amazing how he's standing out amongst such talented players. 4 1st overall picks and 2 2nd overall picks on this roster and he's just completely outclassing them.

Well, I'd say that is hyperbole but Johnny is definitely leading the way on the team. He's not outclassing anybody imo but he's definitely adding to his reputation as a guy to be counted on.

Age has nothing to do with it. He also outclassed all of the NHL last year, except for 5 other people...

Does experience?

Gaudreau has more NHL GP than Eichel, McDavid, and Matthews do combined.

Sure, but he's also at the top of the leaderboard for the whole tournament as well.

Johnny is the number 1 overall in his draft year as well, unless you would put Landeskog, Hopkins, Huberdeau or Kucherov ahead of him.
