what about nominating Gaudreauvertime to do the GDT?
Or will he be too busy during the day? You know, hitting the ice for the warm-up morning skate, getting the catnap in, eating early and getting to the games well in advance, etc.

^ I imagine doing that would be akin to having 82 of my season previews, except having the material condensed down into one game for all 82 of those games, and having the material featuring Gaudreau only.
The inflated projections would still stand.

This is my favourite post in a while and I also love that it basically got ignored.

Pfff I doubt the guy's even a Flames fan. Just some wacko Gaudreau fanboy. Or likely someone connected to Gaudreau in real life.
His GDT would literally be just this (stolen from AC)

While I enjoy the GDTs I'd rather have it done by committee or not done at all than see yet another staple of this board become someone's pet project.
That being said, I don't see me jumping up and down waving my arms to write them or going out of my way to make greater contributions to this forum so who am I to complain, really.

Cali , the time you commit and the quality of the write-ups is very much appreciated.
That being said I would understand if you made things simpler as I would not have the time or care to complete something of that level throughout the season.
I believe many of our appreciative posters are still off for the summer. This board has been difficult and toxic for a while now.
Look forward to a Winning season and shedding some of these dark clouds over CP

So much this. It's exactly the reason I quit doing the post game recaps. I was working my ass off to get the game flow, post game reactions etc etc, and near the end of my run there felt I was just pounding words at a wall of indifference. So I hung up the keyboard as it were.

LOL, your avatar doesn't come close to representing your true nature.

If people don't want me to do them that way anymore, or do them at all, it's fine. I kinda felt like if I didn't do them I was letting CP down or something.
It's on me, I read the room wrong.

It's only the reaction by the usual negative people. I don't want to name names, but life is seriously more fun if you ignore those people and do what you think is helpful and fun. I love the threads you guys start and they mean a lot to me and to others. I'd also love to help with them, but I am so not a journalist writer...

Holy cow, neither am I. I just gave it my best efforts. I'm sure if you do the same you'd be fine.
I think I'm just going to take a backseat this year and let others try writing. I find it really rewarding, and I think others would too, but it can be a chore if you're doing it all the time. If nobody starts the thread by a certain time of the day, like noon my time, I'll just post a quick lineup and notes with a couple pics.

Why not be the leader we all know you to be and just create a calendar for the writing team? I think it's a great idea!

Pretty simply put, nobody wants that. Everyone wants it to be a wide open affair where anyone can step up to the plate. That's just fine by me.
