His own staff is one thing, but he's basically treating this election as a means to inject donated money into his business. Probably to debt service.

Just curious. What seems inaccurate about it? Time frame is right. Social norms seem consistent with the time. What seems unbelievable about this particular story?

I don't know if it should be a scandal or not, frankly to a certain degree these people get what they deserve for trusting Trump to actually pay them given his long documented history of stiffing people. What it should be is yet another sign Trump isn't in this for anyone but himself, and that his supporters are insane to think he actually cares about them, or that he'll ever create jobs or a stable economy for them. Or if he does create "jobs", they'll have to seriously wonder if they'll get paid for them. Trump wasn't joking when he said he was going to make money running for President. Hopefully the IRS and FEC scrutinize every single dollar from his campaign.

It wasn't a law course. It was a Computer Science course on how to create private email servers.

The New American Politics thread
Trump gave a speech about his position on the Iraq War. It sounded complicated:

Here, paraphrased, are seven things Donald Trump just said about his Iraq War position in the span of two minutes

It still impresses me that Trump doesn't spontaneously combust when he does things like this. How does his mind stay straight when he goes 7 different directions in not even 2 minutes?

I would think that most politicians, journalists and academics would know.
Johnson isn't "most people". He is running for the president. It's kind of important to know those things.

Clinton has a history of humble-brags/egregious self-aggrandizing by placing herself at the fulcrum of important historical moments.

At the very least though he should be experienced and well versed in bankruptcy so maybe he could eliminate America's debt.

The only reason he was not forced into personal bankruptcy, is the banks decided he was worth more to them alive than dead.

I'm sure China will be cool if America files for Chapter 11.

Honestly though, if it came down to it and the US told China to get ####ed over the debt it owes, what do you think would happen?
A new country (likely, several) would become the base of manufacturing for products to the US if China started strong arming trade and China would be left holding its dick. Clothing has already moved out of China for the most part.
National debt on a US scale with the US economy and military power isn't real. Especially when that debt is owed to a passive aggressive trade partner.

All of the secret poison China put in all the #### American's buy would simultaneously be released across America, wiping America out so Chinese millionaires can come buy property they'll never live in most likely.

She recounted a moment in Bosnia, hardly an important historical moment. It wasn't like she said she was sitting on the bus next to Rosa Parks, or *cough* she had seen Muslims in New York celebrating when the twin towers went down.

You really are a Manichean, aren't you.
She has lied about being broke, about trying to join the Marines, about being named after Edmund Hillary, about having immigrant grandparents.
Come oooonnnnnn.
And Bosnia? It was the centre of her husband's foreign policy. It was an incredibly historical moment.
