PANTHERS VS PENGUINS: Round 1
Today the Panthers and Penguins play the first of two games this season. A huge rivalry that has been building over the years, GM Penney looks forward to the challenge.
"It wasn't long ago that both the Penguins and ourselves were at the bottom of the league standings when we took over our teams" said Penney.
Penney took over the Panthers at the end of the 2003-04 season where the Panthers had just set a CPHL record low 39 Points for the entire year! The very next season, GM Goffie took over the Penguins half way through the year where the Penguins finished dead last with 50 points.
Now, both the Panthers and the Penguins boast two of the CPHL's better teams. Both teams have come a long way and it is evidently clear that any GM who comes from Newfoundland is a hell of a lot smarter than anyone else.
Tonight, the Panthers and the Penguins meet again. As of late the Panthers have dominated the Penguins and have not lost to them in well over a year. Will the trend continue or will GM Goffie and the Penguins finally snap the losing skid with a win over one of their biggest rival's?
