I used to post on the IGN NHL board and I believe Jordon and I were quite literally the only Flames fans there. He told me about CP.

Similar to myself. The official forum was too high-brow, and over-moderated.
Posters would use the initials CP, but I never grabbed on until someone spelled it out.

Was a bangwagoner during the 2003 04 season... onto the sportsnet forum and felt it was out of control. Some posters mentioned about CP so I switched ever since... the best decision ever.

Was lured over from the old usenet, alt.rec.sport.nhl.flames or some such cryptic newsgroup that I can no longer recall. Would get news from the usenet when I travelled, but eventually it became unreadable with all the garbage that was posted in there. Around 2001, I think, someone from CP would log on and encourage us to move over to the new board, Calgary Puck. Resisted joining for years, but started to get my hockey scores from here when I travelled to Maui, as NHL hockey showed up in the local papers about 10th after girls jr highschool baseball tryouts. Eventually I caved, and became a member!

God I miss Cowperson.
