Default Flames bringing Brayden Burke to camp?

http://lethbridgeherald.com/sports/l...rke-ascending/

Quote:
This year, Burke is at training camp with a pedigree, and an NHL camp invite from the Calgary Flames. He leaves on Sept. 15 for the early days of NHL tryouts.

Burke went undrafted – again – before Calgary called but he’s heading to the camp hoping to show he can play with others at that level.

Looks like he's coming to the Flames camp.

He had 109 points in 72 games this year.

His size and production reminds me of Andrew Mangiapane. But I'm guessing Burke has less bite and is more of a playmaker.

I like this kid, but maybe because he's a Hurricane.

Yeah, Tod Button on 960 after development camp said the Flames would be bringing Brayden Burke and Mathieu Sevigny to Penticton.

The Flames/Stockton haven't made the Dyukov AHL signing official yet, but imagine he would also be at Penticton.

Dyukov's Penticton eligibility depends on how the teams interpret him playing Belarussian pro hockey.

He is 20 years old and played roughly the same number of pro hockey games Kylington had under his belt before Penction last year. It really shouldn't be a problem.

edit: If Dyukov can't participate because of Belarussian pro games, than Puljujarvi shouldn't be able to participate because of his Finnish pro grames.

I expected him to get drafted. Would be happy to get him for free.

A CHL'er who exploded during his 20 year old season is usually a great bet to be career minor leaguer. Could be a solid addition to Stockton.

Basic question - any relation to Brian Burke? I'm assuming not

He doesn't turn 20 until next year.

I doubt he's any relation to Brian. Brian's from the Eastern US while Brayden's from Edmonton.

Agree; really thought he'd get nabbed as early as 3rd rnd, no later than 5th round. Pulling for the kid.

Puljujarvi's played less than 100 pro games between SM-Liiga and Mestis.
Dyukov's played over 100 pro games in the main Belarussian league (and secondary league).

Thought he'd get drafted, so glad if we get him for nothing but still think he's a career minor leaguer

Anton Slepyshev has close to 200 KHL games and he played in the young stars tournament last year as a 21 year old.

I'm presuming that they're only paying attention to North American pro games, though it seems they're playing fast and loose with whatever requirements they set out.
