What's the biggest vote differential a president has ever won by? I have a feeling Clinton will smash the record.

I'm sure it will be a large electoral college win, but it won't be breaking landslides. The team sports aspect is just way too entrenched now.

Some conservatives are making the argument - quite intelligently - that you can vote for Trump in good conscience because of his promise to balance SCOTUS bench.
Not saying that I agree with it, but that it is another important piece to this puzzle.

The only states from the Romney map I can see Hillary flipping are North Carolina, maybe Georgia and Missouri, and maybe Arizona. But realistically it'll probably be the same map McCain lost by which was a big loss, but not historically bad. More than the team sports thing, its the GOP having the plains and bible belt on lockdown that ensures it'll never see a historic beat down.

I'd imagine the SCOTUS argument is the only way an independent with a shred of decency could justify to themselves and hold their nose to vote for Trump. Even then those rubes are taking their chances, nothing says he would actually appoint conservative judges. What, you're going to take him at his WORD? Ha!

Obama's message today was politically genius.
Why publicly calling on Republicans to renounce their endorsements essentially reinforces down votes in the other races. The Republican establishment cannot heed Obama's call because their position is more anti-Obama than anything else. But because of the public message, it becomes a tacit link to Trump and Republican party as a whole.
This really could could be harder than anticipated in the Republican party

Well, absolutely. I don't think he could even get a process together to appoint judges.

Oh yeah, those boys made a real deal with the devil. Personally, I think the Republican Party is done for good, but what do I know.

Speaking of, Trump is not backing either Ryan or McCain in their current races. Truly the standard bearer for the party. In other shocking news he's also turned on a New Hampshire Republican who dared speak out against him regarding the gold star family fiasco. Shocking I say.

I think Trump has been paid by the Democrats to infiltrate and destroy the republicans from the inside.

That was the theory a loooong time ago (though he's a Hillary plant specifically and not a DNC plant). At this point I think any theory outside of this is a serious run for President is possible.

I write really fast on here and multitask. I think even my longest posts take probably less than 5 minutes to type up. Plus I'm at work a whole heck of a lot.

No way. You listen to the people who knew Trump well. This is Trump. Trump speaks about Trump. Trump needs to make Trump always look good to Trump.
He's not near intelligent enough to pull that off

Has anyone ever seen both of them in the same place at the same time? Maybe it's a Tyler Durden sort of situation.

Not confused at all. I'm telling you how it is down here and the values of those who are the true leaders of the accepted libertarian movement. If you are looking for examples of American libertarianism you need look no further than the Koch brothers. Their views are what American libertarianism is about and supported by the vast majority who identify themselves as libertarians. For the record, their father Fred, was the founder of the John Birch Society. The Tea Party was driven by the Koch brand of libertarianism for example. Hell, if you look behind any institution that claims to be libertarian in any form you're going to find the Koch fingerprints and money. They drive libertarianism in this US, not Gary Johnson.

Reason.com is an excellent example. It's actually one of my favorite media outlets.

I heard a quote on NPR today that Trump made where he made that very argument and did it with a pretty obvious tone of 'you have to vote for me because of scotus, so I can do whatever I want and you have to take it.'
I will see if I can find the clip, but I was amazed at how brash he was. I mean sure the dude is brash all the time on pretty much any topic, but I didn't think he would just tell people they had to vote for him and there was nothing they could do with it.
