Tied for first in the league, I believe.

He's been great but from what I can recall, he's also generally had very good run support.

I'm just gonna say it's a good thing the Jays had such a horrendous start to the season at the plate and with the bullpen, can you imagine what the blue jays record would have been had Storen and Cecil not imploded or if Stroman was actually pitching like their ace not their #5 guy. They'd have the AL east locked up and probably have the best record on all of the MLB.

IMO the jays are the team to beat this year and if the bullpen gets it figured, yikes they're gonna be damn tough to beat.

Agreed. I feel this years team is much better and deeper compared to last. One last push for a world series title this year.

Hopefully the Jays can go 6-2 against the weak teams and 4-2 vs the good ones.
They managed to go 5-3 against the bad ones and 3-2 against the good ones thus far. A game or two off of what I thought would be the best case scenario is still very good. Hopefully that can keep up their good play as the calendar changes over to August.

Sanchez with a good start today. To think there was debate about him starting the season in the majors. Hopefully the offense can tack a couple more runs on here.

Hope Tulo is ok after getting hit in the hand. Time to throw inside to Machado?

Not with Sanchez. Lets just win the game.

I'm normally optimistic, but yes, this is the year to win it all. Specially with the Yankees loading up their farm system with prospects for 2018. 2018 Yankees are going to be SCARY. Specially if they sign Harper or JD...or both..just because it's the damn Yankees and they don't care about any penalties for going over 200mil budget wise. They are so going to throw a lot of $$$ in the 2018 offseason.

Since Steinbrenner the older died, they've been much tighter with the purse strings.

Not really . They just realized for 2 years there is no point spending when every position player you have makes 20 million already

Just wait until 2018 when all the contracts are off the books !

Oh yeah, they definitely saw an opportunity to sit idle for a couple years and let the prospect base build up. They'll go balls out when the times comes and they'll likely be a lock for top spot in the division for years to come when that happens.

This is Toronto's last opportunity with this line-up to go for it. Funny thing is we're technically only kind of going for it with ownership's budget constraints. But it's the best we can hope for.

That Tulo injury hurts bad. That'll be significant disabled list time. As soon as the replay showed it hitting between the top of the finger and thumb area I knew it was bad.

Really surprised he came back for an inning, actually, but obviously as soon he had to make an actual game speed throw to first he realized he wasn't game ready.

Nothing official, just saying it looks like significant disabled time to me. I'd be very surprised but happy if he was back right away from that.

In baseball, finger injuries tend to be some of the worst for missed time due to how important throwing is.
