Another ugly win by the Colts but 5-0 is pretty sweet.
The Rams are for real and nobodys talking about them
Alex Smith is gonna be a very good QB in this league.
How did so many teams pass on Leinhart?
I bet Edgerin James is having fun in Arizona with that offensive line
Reggie Bush leads the league in catches

How about them Bears? 5-0 baby
Turns out all they needed was a quarterback.... I'm still holding my breath though, Grossman can get hurt on any play.....

The Bears are scary hot right now, well enough about them, the Saints were nicely bailed out of their trap game by one Reggie Bush! Amazing return, it almost as if he was calling his shot before the punt, Saints 4-1!!

Best defense in the AFC...your Denver Broncos.

Michael Irvin is insane.
Broncos are not in the top 5 in his AFC, but Baltimore is.
Moron.

Yeah, should be interesting when San Diego and Denver hook up to see who the real king of the AFC West is. Man, does Oakland look bad. Ha ha stupid Al Davis. I hope he keeps that team forever, and they keep playing like this.

They're good but I don't think they'll continue to play at quite the same level all year long. The secondary besides Champ Bailey and John Lynch kinda scare me... Not totally sold on them.

Why not? Just because they aren't names?
Darrent Williams has been stellar since day 1. Nick Ferguson is a steady safety who can flat out hit.
Why do they scare you? One touchdown allowed all year.

Considering that they're 1-2 and have that left for a schedule, a realist has to admit that an 8-8 season will be hard enough. I think the Chiefs are a mid tier team playing a tough schedule this year. I still cheer for them, but I can admit that other teams in the NFL are better.

I totally agree. But this Chiefs team has something that the Chiefs didn't have in the Vermeil era........a Defense. And the Vermeil Chiefs proved that no matter how spectacular and unstoppable your offense is, it is completly useless if your defense can't stop anybody. Not only is their defense good but the offense is good enough to overcome a 14 point first quarter defecit. It is still to early in this NFL season to see who is going to be dominant and who stinks. Allthough some teams are proving the later. It will be a tough struggle in Pittsburgh on Sunday. But that Steeler team has not proven anything this season, besides beating a very bad Miami team. I am taking this season one game at a time. Go Chiefs!!!!!!!!!

How does a 5-0 team only make one of the moron ESPN guys top 5 in the NFL list? The Titans win was ugly and nothing to be proud of but 5-0 is still 5-0! A win on the road against the Giants, a win against a very tough Jax team, a win on the road against the Jets, who did suck last week but even gave the Pats all they could handle. 3 very quality wins, and then 2 divisional wins at home.
The ESPN guys, especially Irvin who's already been metioned in this thread are morons.

Indy is good. But how good. Because the Titans are bad. One thing to remember is teams get fired up for divisional games. The other three teams in the AFC south are built around trying to beat the Colts. Tenessee might not be close in another game all year. But they will battle their asses off to beat the top dog in the division.

My team is pitiful, I'm still hoping some how we will turn this around and squeeze into the playoffs. But it looks like it will be another year without the playoffs.
Hopefully we can beat the hated Jets this week-end

Dis, are you happy with your Broncos?
They've really been riding their defense hard, the offense really needs to wake up.

The defense has exceeded my lofty expectations.
They're running the ball well, but the passing game has been very mediocre and sporadic. In fact, outside of the New England game it's been poor.
The thing is, they have more talent than last season. That gives me hope that at some point they'll start clicking. The common thing is to blame it on Plummer, and yeah he's made some bad throws, but it goes beyond him.
Oakland at home next Sunday night? Might be just what the doctor ordered for that Broncos offense.
I'm actually more excited about this team than I have been about any Broncos team since the second super bowl season.

0-16 is not too far off for the Raiders. The easy part of there schedule is all but done.
They have games against:
Denver(loss)
Cardinals(This could be the one game they could win, but Leinheart looks good enough to beat them)
Steelers(loss)
Seahawks(loss)
Broncos(loss)
Cheifs(loss)
Chargers(loss)
Texans(oooo this could be it!)
Bengals(loss)
Rams(loss)
Chiefs(loss)
Jets(loss)
I see 3 games they have a chance at (Jets,Texans,Cardinals) Please let them loose them all!

Cardinals are not great, but they are not pathetic like the Raiders. Leinheart looked pretty good against the Chiefs. Maybe the Raiders can beat the Texans. Depends if it is on the road or not. Jets? I doubt it. If the Raiders can beat the Jets you could also argue that the Raiders could give the Colts a run for their money at home as well. But we all know that is far fetched.

Yep! That was incredible! Although I must admit I still dont like him returning punts. It's such a risk to put one of our primetime offensive players back there, and plus he's just not that good at it. I mean that PR was amazing, no doubt. But even while the ball was still in the air coming towards him, the announcers said "And the Saints have set up a wall on the right side!!!", even they could see the lane Bush had all the way to the house. He lost 5 yards on an earlier punt that game when he was dancing around again. Id rather let Moore or Jamal Jones handle it. Id say Ill be happy when Michael Lewis is finally healthy again, but I have a feeling he'll be released as soon as he is better. Payton has already said he doesnt like "specialty" players, he feels they're a waste of a roster spot.
Haha and all Ive got to say is poor Deuce. Guy runs for 123 yards on only 15 carries, including two highlight reel runs, and he's simply an afterthought after the big Reggie return. I really think Bush is helping out McAllister in a big way this year. Not only is he providing to be an excellent decoy for defenders, creating holes for Deuce, but he's also taking the load off for McAllister's knee. I read an article two days ago on NOLA.com that said Deuce still has soreness in his knee some days. After reading that I am SO glad we drafted Reggie. Carrying the ball 30 times a game on that knee, I feel Deuce wouldve never made it the whole year at 100%. I know we had Bennett at that time, but I feel alot better with Reggie there, as Bennett's struggled with injuries in KC since being released in the summer.
Should be a great game this weekend. I hope Stallworth plays, even though he's listed as doubtful. He's one of the rare former Saints who I still like. He's said all the right things about the Saints and New Orleans since he left, and I believe he even flew down to the MNF game in Nawlins against the Falcons a couple weeks back(at least he said he was going to). Darren Howard's back in the Dome on Sunday too, though Im not as fond of him as I am Stallie. What do you think about this Sunday's game? I must admit, this is the first game all season that I actually went against the Saints in my Pick Em pool, though I hope Im wrong.
Its been a great first five games of the year, the Saints are on the map for a few individual records this year. Rookie of the Year could be either Bush or Colston, and youve got to look at Brees and McAllister for Comeback Player of the Year. And if it stays like this, who knows? Payton may take home Coach of the Year.

I think that Brees may just be the best FA pickup in the NFL during the offseason. The fact the guy has yet to throw an INT is astounding. Reggie Bush is just hands down amazing, you can do so much with this guy. The Saints defintley find themselves in one of the toughest divisions in football, I'm really intrested to see how they finsh the year.
This year I think we've defintley seen the maturity of many young QB's. David Carr has been playing very well, if the Texans only had half a defense they'd be a decent team. Alex Smith too has made great strides from last year, him and Gore could turn out to be one of the best one-two tandems in this league.
I really have that Colts/Denever game highlighted right now coming up in 3 weeks. A cold weather game against a team who always has one of the best running attacks in the league and one of the best defense's out there. The Colts have defintley had the Bronco's number, but this one is on the road and I think the Bronco's matchup wayyy to well against the COlts and there **** poor run defense. Which took a huge hit this week as Cory Simon got diagonsed with a very serious muscle straining disease that will keep him out for at least this season. However, I think Peyton has once again proven himself these last few weeks by literally taking the team on his back and not letting them lose.
