I'm not going to get into the specifics or the context of Melania's speech but she really delivered up on stage tonight. She did much better than I expected. Her tone and tempo was exceptional.

In terms of delivery she did very well for someone who is on that stage, in that moment, in the controversy, and in a second language. She did well.

I thought she spoke well. I'd be nervous as heck up there. My point was that she didn't say anything noteworthy.

This isn't just about this speech or Trump, but I've always wondered why so many people around the world, including many Americans, expect the U.S. to be sheriffs around the world. That's a tough task.

If they thought she was a pushover they wouldn't have been going after her for over 20 years. She knows how to beat them, and they haven't really found anything that sticks, and have nominated their second worst candidate when a half decent candidate has a good shot to beat her.

Because unfortunately, as much as other countries complain about it after the fact, they still expect and want them to intervene.

I meant on the national security and anti-terror question. I think she'll be effective and fierce on that. First time it happens she'll send a message.
