His friend is setting up for a lawsuit, but its laughable that a guy that had been charged with domestic violence charges isn't violent.

Not to sound callous but after the little girl was just killed by a guy that had a multiple conviction criminal past that I don't feel bad that this guy was taken out of the gene pool.

I guess he was nice to his friends, but not his family? Considering his lengthy list of past convictions and what they were for, I find it hard to believe he peacefully put up his hands when the cops showed up.

How does one get a nickname like Kilo? Big proponent of the metric system I guess.

Easier to divide stuff, like merchandise/product/goods that is sold by weight, by units of ten.

He almost ran over a couple cops. What exactly do his buddies think was going to happen?

The guy sounds like a real piece of work. 40 years old hanging around people in their early 20s going around stealing cars? Yeah, Kilo was a real outstanding citizen.

Criminals are always misunderstood and the system is rigged against them. We need to show more sympathy towards these people.

The passenger in the car was my wife's extended family. Trust me, don't weep for them, they are not the saints the crack hos make them out to be.

Speaking as someone who has had their house broken into, my wife's and my wedding rings stolen, car stolen, bikes stolen, and my identity stolen I weep very little. Never wish anyone gets killed, but these types people are garbage.

I am more than a little disappointed the Herald would print that story. That is my only regret.

Plot twist: he's just an unsung hero who was attempting to spread the joys one experiences when discovering the efficiency and short learning curve associated with the metric system, but unfortunately his lack of exposure to popular culture + the criminal underworld have us all assuming the worst about his nickname :/

Or was he the kindly but somewhat quiet standoffish neighbor who always waved back and help the old lady unload her groceries once.
