Plus still may not be 100% from his ankle injury.

Not when its uninformed conjecture. The update Sureloss provided, where he quoted Darren Haynes, thats news.

If you didn't talk to Gillies, then a guy who you talked to who apparently talked to Gillies doesn't make Gillies your source.

I think that's the point he's getting at. Hearing it from someone who may have heard it from source is not the same, not even relatively, as hearing it from the source.

One of the key tenants of good journalism is sitting on information until you can verify it. Not shooting out anything you hear. Keep at it, just keep a few of the "heard from someone who heard from someone" things in your pocket.

What you choose not to report can go much further towards your credibility than what you choose to report.

A lot of pucks are getting passed Rittich. They're not all going in, but he's losing the net a lot.

There was just a point shot which I'm not even sure he saw... it just went by him, hit the post, and came straight back out.

Jankowski's grandmother is standing behind me. She thinks he's having trouble adjusting to the altitude here, if anyone thinks he might look gassed (not that I've noticed).

GFG
Concur. Its 2016 and the Flames can't get a stream on?

I've been to winsport for training camp last year. That rink is terrible for spectators.

Ken King, why must we have CalgaryNext when we can't see the future?

He'll get used to it. That's a minor issue.

Just googled his injury. I had no idea. Missed the part about him not doing the combine as well. Clearly its not a major injury or he wouldnt be in the dev camp. But I wonder how that changes peoples opinion on him returning to junior or healing properly and coming out to full camp in beast mode ready to show his real stuff.

TBQH, I was disapointed hearing the news about him not stealing the show, but hopefully this explains why to certain extent.

Some early takeaways from the first period here:

- Culkin made a really bad play to start off the scrimmage, coming out from behind the net and turning the puck over in front of McDonald. Not smart. Ollas Mattson made pretty much the same mistake a couple minutes later.

- McDonald made a good save off this chance.

- Ollas Mattson had some issues with puck control early on, misplaying the puck in his own zone.

- Spencer Foo opened the scoring early on with a highlight-reel goal early on, dancing around Rittich to make it 1-0 team McDonald.

- Ollas Mattson displayed some silky moves in his one zone, spinning smoothly away from a defender.

- Tim Harrison has a good backhand! He came very close to knotting the score at one, firing a backhand shot from the hashmarks that flew over Mason McDonald's shoulder and clipped the crossbar.

- Janko made a TERRIBLE giveaway ten minutes in... gave the puck right to Linus Lindstrom while attempting to do a behind-the-back pass... Lindstrom had a 2-on-0 break, was stopped low glove by Mason McDonald.

- Nice shot by Rempal to tie it up at 1. Right over McDonald's shoulder.

- Not liking Culkin's decision making today.

- Phillips made a really, really nice move to get around Andersson, who's still moving really slowly today.

- Has it ever been said that Kylington is a really good skater? Because guys, Kylington's a really good skater.

- Brett Pollock showed some nice hands and finesse on a couple of rushes in the first. First time's he's stood out to me in my two days here.

- Austin Carroll had a couple of good chances to beat Rittich midway through the second. He was stopped on a breakaway, and hit the crossbar shortly after.

- Rittich was having some trouble seeing the puck... shortly after the Carroll chances, a point shot came by with I don't think Rittich even saw. It hit the post.

- Adam Ollas Mattsson has been the most impressive defenseman today, for sure. Has made a bunch of great offensive and defensive plays. He's a surprisingly smooth skater and puck mover.

- Tuulola roofed one on Rittich to make it 2-1 McDonald.

- Brett Pollock had a good chance a few seconds later... he aimed high glove on McDonald, who got a piece of it with his glove.

As long as it's clearly labelled as speculation, and the poster provides the source where he got the information from then it's fine.

I would much rather people share the potential insider info they have, than wait because they don't have two sources.

We are not journalists working for a major news paper, as long as the information is listed as speculation, and the source is provided, then who cares where the information comes from. If you want to panic and get all paranoid about it then that's your own problem.

Could this also be an issue for Andersson?
