I had no clue Troy Brouwer was moving to Calgary before this signing.

Murzyn, Patterson, and Berezan are all pretty active with the Flames Alumni, so I assume they're at least in the area.

Otto and Gelinas both retired here before taking their jobs with the Hitmen and Flames.

I believe Sarich was like Brouwer in that he lived here during the summer and that was one of the big reasons to sign with the Flames when the chance came.

Chad Johnson also makes his home in Calgary, and I know for a fact that was a major factor in him signing here.

As far as I know Kipper still owns property just outside Calgary, but how much use he makes of it I don't know. I think he spends most of his summers in Finland, but he does show up every now at then in YYC, from what I've heard.

I didn't know Seabrook lived in Calgary until I showed up at his house to look at the car he had listed on kijiji. Was pretty funny driving him around, but no sale.

His wife is from Calgary, not sure if he actually lives here though.

I seem to recall some people freaking out after Chicago won the Cup last year because Seabrook said something about going to Calgary for the summer and they misunderstood him and thought he was saying he was going to come to the Flames.
