But at this point still just a 70% chance of winning. (Which is huge at this point)

Trump says he forgave his campaign's debt to him following the loans he made... Federal Election Commission says "nope, didn't happen".

Just the absolute most bald-faced of liars.

Is he saying Obama had something to with this? I thought he looked a little different during his speech yesterday...

Spoiler!

Do you really think that's the worst part of that transcript? I'd say it's far worse that he thinks that if you appoint a judge the judge should make decisions in accordance with your political goals in every case and it's somehow "terrible" if one changes his mind or takes a principled approach to a case. In other words, a Supreme Court Justice nominated by President Trump would be expected to be a surrogate of President Trump. #### the division of powers.

That is yet another in a long line of positions that completely disqualifies him from holding public office.

Well that's how the US system works. They elect judges and DAs and party affiliation (I.e. Someone who believes what they do) plays the biggest role. Not how good they actually are at applying the law and doing their job. It's why they won't even entertain Obama's nominee. They want someone they know will be highly political and every election sign you'll see will have an elephant or donkey on it.

edit: New stories coming out that Trump is having major issues filling speaking slots for the convention as no elder statesmen nor rising stars want the slots. The RNC seems to very much be taking a backseat and just letting Trump go on his own. He will be filling speaking slots with his wife and kids among others.

A great new podcast on this exact topic:

Radiolab Presents: More Perfect and listen to the episode named "The Political Thicket".

The podcast covers Supreme Court decisions, the episode above focuses on one of the paramount cases that the U.S. Supreme Court struggled with if they should or should not weigh in on a decision with political implications because the U.S. judiciary was never supposed to be politicized from the onset.

Just a really interesting podcast.

I don't know why it still surprises me how Trump continuously finds ways to reach new lows, yet he's gone and done it again:

LOL, took me forever to see the problem,

Trump will probably fire someone over this, even for Trump there's no way this was on purpose.

Heh, the image Trump tweeted above was originally posted on /pol/, a forum for white supremacists and neo-Nazis. I'm not surprised.

I don't have the cash for this, but someone rich should do this: Offer Trump $100 million to have a complete and total psychiatric evaluation done on him by a world leading psychoanalyst on live TV. At the end of it we'll know definitively whether Trump is really a racist, a grifter, or simply demented. I also still can't get over how hilarious the concept of white genocide is.

Didn't see this being discussed, but Bill went to meet AG Loretta Lynch privately for a mostly "social" visit.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/loretta-...ess-1467413122

Seriously, in a country of 310 million people these are the 2 best candidates they can come up with?

Lynch should resign, IMO.

This email story is going to be huge. If the DOJ does indict Clinton, her candidacy is over, and if the DOJ does not indict her, Obama will get blamed for interfering. He is a no win situation.

Such a terrible candidate.

US politics is much more fun when you do away with the idea that it's a functioning democracy where people actually pick their representatives.

We get to watch a Soviet Style propaganda contest, except there's no spying necessary, it's being broadcast all over the world.
