Glad Lindros made it. He deserved it. IMO the best power forward in NHL history in his prime. If you wanted to build the perfect hockey player, Eric is your man.

Vachon played his last game in 1982. So, I guess that means Vernon might get his call in 2036.

Wow I'm stunned, in a great way, that Makarov is going in!

If nothing else, the fact that Roagie Vachon somehow got in indicates that there is a chance that Vernon might some day get his due.

There are players on that list that did more for much longer.
Take Fleury, he was in a class of his own when it came to the "small" guys of the NHL.
Won a cup and an Olympic Gold Medal.
Sure Lindros' had a great '95 season. Hart winner and Lester B Pearson winner, but that really it.
Sure he was on pace to set some records.. but didn't..
He is the perfect case of Woulda, Shoulda Coulda. But didn't..

Ya, Fleury doesn't have any smudges on his transcript.
Lindros won an Olympic gold medal, WCs, Memorial Cup, is Canada's all time WJC point leader, a Hart, Lester B Person and was over a PPG in the NHL. His NHL career was a bit short (760 games) but (a) once Cam Neely made it, Lindros had to make it and (b) it's not the NHL Hall of Fame. His entire career, NHL or not, counts.
Letting his decision as an 18 year old blind you to a dominant career is unfortunate.

I like Vernon a great deal cos he backstopped the team to Stanley Cup Final and won the franchise's only Stanley Cup. I hope he gets in!

Imagine Lindros in todays no clutching and grabbing era. A tank.

Good for Makarov! That's awesome!
Sure hope Vernon gets in soon as he's definitely deserving. Favourite Flame goalie of all time, even still ahead of Kipper a bit.

Kind of find it funny timing that Gormley wasn't qualified by the Avs today, which means the Lindros trade tree is now dead.

More importantly without the ridiculous headshots. can't believe people actually cheered for that crap. Lindros, Kariya, Lafontaine, lots of amazing players taken out by cheap shots.
