Good acquisition. I haven't been sold on Treliving previously, but this feels like it has been a very good day for the Flames.

Stoked to have Elliot. This is the guy I wanted, but figured there was no chance after the playoff run. Basically cost us Reto Berra to get him and a 3rd if he extends.

I am actually thrilled with the deal. The Flames have up very little to get Eilliot. His numbers have been great the last 5 years, and he costs so little against the cap. The Flamea can still take advantage of a team in the expansion draft since there is no long term commitment to Elliot. Flames also have plenty of cap space to address their free agents and take a run at a winger that can help the team next year

Great job Tre!!! We got a very solid number one goalie for a full year for a 2nd round pick. We can extend Elliot or still take one of the goalies available due to expansion. All our options are still available and now we have a goalie that allows us to compete for a playoff spot this year. 2nd year Brad makes a great trade on draft day.

I travelled all day yesterday and missed the fun. Elliot is such a great acquisition for Calgary. I was in the Reimer camp because I didn't want to see assets traded when Calgary didn't need to but Elliot for 35 over all is a good deal for the Flames. This buys some time for the young guys for sure. Elliot could be the long term guy here too. Counting on Gillies or MacDonald to step into that role is no sure bet.
Very happy with how yesterday went for Calgary.

I mean this as objectively as possible but I honestly don't recall any GM as long as I've been a Flames fan, so over 20 years, that has been as shrewd with trades and overall asset management as Treliving.

How ironic that 15 yrs ago draft day the Flames trade for #1 goalie from STL & it involved a "Tkaczuk"! The two goalies also wear the same number.

We went from joke to contender just like that. Gulutzan has a whole lot of talent on his team now. Our biggest anchor may be a third line dman, damn the Flames are looking good now.
