Not the greatest two years in Manitoba. Roster issues or not, doesn't seem like a good fit.

That's a pretty terrible roster.

And is this tweet saying he's in as assistant coach, or he's in for interviews?

#Flames are beginning to interview asst coaches in BUF. Dave Cameron, Craig Berube and Dave Lowry among the candidates.
Cameron and Lowry would be great adds to the coaching team IMO. Would really round out that group well.

Here's an article about his dismissal:
http://www.arcticicehockey.com/2016/...th-mccambridge

Including these tweets from people close to the team:

@pwilliamsNHL
For McCambridge's critics, it should be noted he was given nine rookies, Hellebuyck (for a half-season) & frankly very little else. #AHL

Also worth nothing that no help arrived for McCambridge when it was clear very early that the roster was very overmatched. #AHL

@friesensunmedia
Surprised at #NHLJets firing of Moose coach K McCambridge. Helped several prospects get to NHL, kept a young team from disintegrating.

@randyturner15
There may be more to #NHLJets firing Moose HC Keith McCambridge - there often is - but this much is certain: The optics stink.

I know , I did the reading and came to my conclusion still.

There's also talk he's not a fan of being a developmental coach. And his speciall teams aren't the greatest which was a mentioned focus for Gulutzan

McCambridge wasn't fired, his contract wasn't renewed. Whatever that entails.

I like that move.

Would he be assistant or associate?

What's the difference?
It seems teams just use the term rather loosely and we fans attach a difference to them.

Essentially top assistant, biggest difference being money. What it means responsibility wise I'd guess differs between each team.

Schwing!

I like him because of his player history with the Flames. Looks like he is a special teams wizard. What happened to the PK in 2015?

TheScore wrote a very good article on how he set up his PP unit based on the strengths of his players. I used it for analysis a lot this past year when our PP sucked (we ran the exact same formation, but it really sucked)

Unique Team Traits: Good Luck Stopping the Philadelphia Flyer's Top PP Unit

Flyers fans despised him. I really don't like this.

You don't like this because Flyer fans despised him? Sounds like a good reason to not want someone...
