i;m surprised that Switzerland isn't going for it, Romania can't win so there is no risk.

So Albania finished 3rd in Group A with 3 points and a -2 goal difference.

B and C already have 3rd place teams with 3 points. They would need two out of D E and F to fail. They'll be cheering for Czech-Turkey to tie, Italy to win and Hungary to win. 2 out of 3 of those.

So just to really piss England fans off, here's the rumored starting lineup for tonight.

Hart
Clyne, Smalling, Cahill, Bertrand
Henderson, Dier, Wilshere
Lallana, Vardy, Sturridge

Roy does realize they can still win the group, and that if Slovakia blows them out they could miss the knockout stages altogether right?

If England finish 3rd they get 1st C most likely. Germany.

What don't you like, and what would you suggest?

That lineup is defensive, with both Henderson and Dier in, and resting Ali who hasn't been the best tracking back. Resting his wingbacks, and Rooney - and imagine Dier will be subbed around 70'.

Wilshere can slice defenses with his passing, and only takes one to Vardy.

If England is down, swap Henderson with Rooney, Sturridge/Lallana with Ali/Kane.

I would suggest playing your best lineup rather than worrying about resting players. As Girly mentioned they could get Germany in the round of 16, or they could get Northern Ireland or Albania. Obviously one of these is much worse than the others. So playing for rest is a risky strategy, they should be playing to win with the same lineup we saw in the second half against Wales.

And of course, Croatia just gets a slap on the wrist for what happened the other day. They just have to pay €100 000 as a fine...

Ridicioulus. I wonder if they're aware that they are actually enabling the hooligans with these "sanctions".

So I worked out Albania's odds of getting into the round of 16

They need 2 of the following to happen.

1. England beat Slovakia by 3 goals AND Russia doesn't beat Wales
2. Germany beat N. Ireland by 4 goals
3. Turkey win by less than 3 OR Czech-Turkey draw
4. Neither Italy or Belgium lose
5. Hungary beats Portugal

Henderson is aware you don't have to hit the first man every time you have a free kick/corner right? Hasn't really hurt them yet but England have been awful at set pieces.
