I really hope that it is Reirden. I do not have any reason to prefer him, just basing it on what I have read on CP.

Reirden's interview had some interesting tidbits. Pointed to Quennville, Bylsma, and Trotz all as guys he learned many key things from. Also played for McLellan. Demeanor reminds me of Huska, too.

Poor possession hockey or not the Flames never won in Anaheim (one playoff game in 2006) when Carlyle was the coach the last time so it's going to be tough sledding for the Flames to ever break that curse.

The only one reporting this is Bugicross so far. Could be a false alarm. lets not get our hopes up.
If it is true though, I'm curious who it's going to be for CGY, Gulutzan or Reirden. Hoping for Reirden.

I think it would be funny if we ended up with Gulutzan as a head coach and Travis Green as an assistant. I have no clue how that would end up but it would be hilarious to watch the reaction of Canucks fans. They seem to have soured on Ol' Willy D and I'm sure they'd go nuts if we gutted their coaching depth.
