the addition of Hagelin, Rust and Shearhy really jacked up the Penguins speed...

not sure how Bonino failed in Van though? he looked great in Anaheim and now Pittsburgh... Hopefully Van is turning into the black hole for talent like Edmonton has...

SJ had a good start, but lost it all with the penalty.

I think we need even more Stanley Cup Finals firsts updates Healy. Has Thornton had his first SCF Gatorade? Spit? Snot rocket? Beard itch?

Not sure if he failed as much as he didn't have much in the way of winger talent to play with in Vancouver. Still had 15 goals for them which isn't too bad for a 3rd line center.

San Jose is junk. They will not win the Stanley Cup.

The Pens are making the Sharks look slow and old. They're having trouble getting out of their own zone and that's when they're able to get hold of the puck I hope they figure out a way to neutralize the Pens' speed or it will be a short series.

Sharks will be fine. Can't explain it but they've looked even worse against the Blues in the last round on occasion. Should be a good series

I'm usually a nervous wreck during PO games, but I feel the same - not too worried right now. They need to rearrange and settle down.

Considering they beat a post-apex LA team, pretty average Nashville, and tired post-Hawks/Stars Blues to get here... Yeah I agree. SJ is very lucky to be here. If Pitt plays its game, this should be over in 5.

SJ could easily miss the playoffs next year. They just got hot and lucky at the right time.

No, the Blues never skated circles around them like this.

No, the Sharks haven't played anyone this good and ready for them yet.

No, the Sharks won't be fine.

When was the last time we've seen the West so outmatched in a Finals series?

My thoughts exactly. They did the same thing against Nashville too.

well, its probably semantics... ultimately, players get traded because either 1) they've underachieved in the eyes of the organization 2) said organization thinks they are getting an upgrade from that trade. 3) player request (which i don't think applies here)

Bonino was traded despite the 15 goals because the Canucks thought Sutter was an upgrade; teams don't make deals they think they are losing on...

The perils of calling a series after 20 minutes. SJ have been the better team by far in the 2nd. This series may be short, but right now it doesn't look like it will be.

I just came in to say that it pisses me off that I have to hear Glen Healy's voice while I am trying to watch the game.

Screw Marleau and his stupid goal, how well was it called and then analyzed?
