And in my case, makes sure you're sucking in good clean air on your 15 km commute on Crowchild Trail every morning.

Yup.

I can assure you, driving through water without one will cause the engine to fill with water. For some reason Jeep Grand Cherokees used to have the air intake down at the bumper, so knee deep water would flood it. You know, the type you find on the side of the highway between Sunshine and Lake Louise while widening the highway that look really tempting to drive through as a teen...

LOL. I hydro locked the engine on a girlfriends Plymouth Sundance back in the 90's. Tried to be a hero and drive us through a flooded street in Lake Bonavista.

Her dad wasn't happy, but he replaced it with a swanky 95 Turbo Lebaron convertible, so she ended up happy. And no, it wasn't Jon Voight's.

The funniest part was pulling all the plugs, and turning the engine over to clear the cylinders. Water shot a good 25 feet in the air across the shop. POW POW POW! It was a friend's parent's vehicle. He said his parents commented "the Jeep isn't running smoothly, I 'm gonna take it to the shop". Apparently it never really ran right after that.

I still don't see the pink Barbie sticker. I guess the rest looks ok but the sticker would pull it all together as awesome

Stupid un-compressible water. AFAIK all Jeeps have their intakes just above the top of the grill. My '94 ZJ did at least. It also had 8 grill slots instead of 7 though. There was a period of weird design decisions.

But, all Jeeps like to spray as much water as possible over the hood and windshield as possible when hitting water with any kind of speed.

Do your parents live right on Bonaventure drive, pylon? I saw what I think was your jeep outside a house as I was driving by around 6 tonight.

Was there a big pink Barbie sticker on it? I think pylons has the sticker to help us know which is his.

lol.

It's funny cause it's true.

Hence why every single mechanical component I replaced, was 'Not Mopar. Seriously, it's not, I swear.' brand.
