Default New Costco in Calgary?

I noticed on the Costco website they list "East Calgary" as a location to be opened in August 2016. Any idea exactly where this would be?

Here's the link: http://www.costco.ca/new-locations.html

Yeah it was rumored years ago, and then when they got building the Walmart there I'd heard they might not do it. Then a month or two ago a Costco sign showed up there. So yay, it'll be nice to have a Costco so close.

Now if they'd only build a theater there. There was a sign up for that too but that disappeared a long time ago.

Yeah, as others have said, 17 Ave, just east of Stoney Trail, on your way to Chestermere.

The plans dated 01/17/2014 show LA Fitness where previous plans placed a cinema, the most recent plans show a Cineplex again... Cineplex is cited as a confirmed tenant too.

If only someone in Costco Business Development would realize there's a direction called "West", in addition to "East"....

Yeah the company my buddy works for is doing the underground work there and they're almost done. It is ahead of schedule he said and they are pushing for an early opening. It was originally slated to open in November but now it's looking more like August/September.

Someone should inform them that there is a Costco 10 mins away on 32 street.

That Costco store is brutal. We stopped there earlier this month to pick up a few things while we were in the NE and I would never go back. The parking lot is small and difficult to get in and out of and the store is small and crowded. It is so run down compared to the other Costcos in Calgary. They should just close that store.

There's four places. There's Costco Hut, that's on third.
There's Costco's-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Costco & Sons
That's on third. Shop Low, Sweet Costco... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the Costco complex on third.

Well this is the first Costco that will not go in the Costco district. The new one is going to be off of Stoney on 17th near chestermere

The less costco's they build the better. It's impossible to spend under $100 there. Make them as crowded as possible, build tighter parking stalls and put them in poor locations. It's the only chance I have of not spending money there.

I swear to god, Costco Corporate hates money... They would have a license to print money if they built one in the west end of town - say out by callaway park or around westhills...
