I have no problem with what Trudeau did. Jesus Christ, you guys are acting like he pulled a George Costanza running away from the oven fire.

If what he did is enough to raise your hackles, I question whether you've ever seen a real physical altercation in real life. Much ado about nothing he apologized, let's move on.
Cool. You don't have a problem with it. The house of flipping commons is the last place I want to see a physical altercation. Especially when we are buying.

The house does have a problem with it and many Canadians hold our leaders to a higher level of decorum. You don't seem to care. Impasse, where do we go from here now?

I am going to try to pass the partisan test, as I honestly feel I don't have a dog in this fight (they all come off so poorly). However, when I first watched the vid, it sure looked like Muclair and group were intentionally blocking the MP's way. Did Brown respond to that portion of the incident?

Agreed. The calls to charge him with assault are so far beyond laughable it's, well.....laughable. But let's be clear - he had zero business doing what he did and he put himself and his party in a pretty poor light with that behaviour.

Nobody looks good in all of this.

Apparently some of the MPs gave Trudeau a pat on the shoulder/back this morning in what was supposed to be supportive. The violence is really out of control in the house now.

Was there intent behind the shoulder slaps and back pats? I think the mounties need to get involved here

Slava, do you ever get tired of being utterly predictable? I mean I'm generally on side with "nothing to see here", or at least not enough to warrant the outrage that's resulted, but really, it's like you have no ability to impartially assess anything connected to federal politics or to self-assess your own bias (which is every bit as over the top as Mulcair's overreactions).

No actually, I'm completely fine being predictable. If there's nothing to see here and you seem to agree with me, why take the shot against me here? Why not save it for something that you actually disgree with me on?

It might be a worthy idea to stop with the insults, the antagonising of each other, and all the "this is so typically you!" stuff going on here. It was entertaining watching a bit of the melodrama as a few of you go back and forth with the overreaction/under-reaction game but some of it is getting petty and pointless and honestly kind of awkwardly embarrassing.

It's probably impossible to talk about the "Sunny Dayz Stunner" without but I figured I'd suggest peace anyway.

Because then it would suggest that I'm just annoyed by your schtick because I disagree with you on the particular issue in question. Here, I don't disagree, yet I'm still annoyed by it. Why must you treat politics like - as Psycnet put it - rooting for a sports team? For one thing, what's the point?

Corsi, I think you are out of line.

You're being mean for the sake of it, and appearing to hide that behind the usual curtain of "i'm logical and impartial".

You agree but don't like the way you agree. It's childish.

I honestly can't stand our man-child of a PM, but anyone saying this is assault, or intentional, seriously, give your fata-ing head a shake. But for Ellen to blow this out of proportion like she did is even more childish. Seriously? You are traumatized? For real?

I've been bumped harder standing in line at a buffet.

Who's rooting for a sports team here? I've voted for at least three or four parties in the past few years. I've had arguments on this board for and against the Liberals or their policies. I don't think that I'm as partisan as you or others here think I am actually.

I understand what you're saying. In my defense, my agreement with him on this particular is immaterial, what I'm objecting to is his entire approach to political issues, which I find grating. It's like 2Stonedbirds on anything that has anything to do with guns. I'm expressing my annoyance at the tendency, which Slava happens to perfectly personify.

If you're not annoyed by people who constantly behave this way, fine, but I sort of doubt I'm the only one who is. I think it's terrible for the political discourse.

On the other hand, trying to be logical and impartial isn't a curtain; it's something to strive for, no?

You're really not fooling anyone. At least, I am completely unconvinced. As I said, your responses on anything to do with federal politics are entirely predictable: you will take the most pro-Liberal-party stance on any topic that's introduced. Unless this is an internet persona and your postings don't actually represent who you are offline, this rings pretty hollow.
