So I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 that needs the screen replaced. Any ideas on where to go? It actually broke first just over a month ago. Took it to a place in the NE that charged me $200. Turns out they only warranty their work on Samsung products for 7 days.

Anyone have any good experiences at a shop they can recommend?

ever consider doing it yourself?

i bought a couple of cheap ebay disassembly kits for the iphone, and without any prior experience, disassembled and reassembled a couple of old iphone 4s phones. for fun.

was easier than I thought, just seems intimidating.

you could probably find the part and the disassembly kits online fairly cheap

Though not impossible. I've done several repairs myself saved hundreds of $. Depends on how confident you are. I know some friends who would just butcher it and are not capable.

You can watch a few youtube videos and see if it is something you would want to tackle.
